Right Hand Man: Jon Threadgall
I can't believe the Common Riding season is back in full swing-seems like it was only last week I was riding through Lauder carrying the flag. What an experience it has been. I have enjoyed every moment and I will cherish those memories forever. It was a brilliant year and my lass Marianne and I have made friendships that we both know will last a lifetime.
I would like to thank both my Right and Left hand men, Shaun and Lee for all the help and support given to me throughout the year. Also to my Lass Marianne for keeping me right and the bucket loads of support and
enthusiasm that she has always given.
I would also like to thank the whole Threadgall family, who have all been involved somehow with the Common
Riding for many years, for their knowledge and encouragement. And finally to all the Lauder committee and of course the Lauder people themselves who cheered me come rain or shine on common riding day.
I would like to congratulate this years Cornet Marc and his Lass Viv, and wish them all the best for the year. Cherish every moment as it will pass very quickly. Marc from what I've seen so far this year you are going to be a great
cornet--you have a great attitude and I wish you all the support on Common Riding week. Safe oot. Safe in!
